So, today I am going to share with you the second lesson
that I got from Prof. Mandi. He really has got a knack of simplifying things
for better understanding and that’s what he did today. So, just to tell about
the difference between the Old Management System and the New Management System he conducted one simple activity. Two different scenarios were explained:-
1)
Scheme1
Students were first asked how tall (no. of cubes they can
arrange one over the other) the tower can they make with they given cubes. Rule
was simple that whosoever can arrange the most no. of block and can bid (money)
the highest for performing the task will be called up on stage to perform.

2)
Scheme 2
Now, in second scenario the one
building the tower will be blindfolded but he will be given instructions from
another person acting as his manager and one more person will be acting like
their CEO to set goals for them. Rules was again the same that whosoever team can arrange the most no. of block and can bid (money) the highest for performing the task will be called up on stage to perform.

Observations:-
Conclusion:-
1.
The first case is that of Old Management System
where only one person is responsible for carrying out the entire task by himself.
2.
The second case is that of New Management System
where work is broken into small elements.
Inferences:-
Result:-
The modern day management wants a Blind Folded Person rather
than Open Eyed Person because they want the workers to blindly follow their
instruction and they want that the decision making power lies completely with
the management.
It was a fun filled class where an important concept was
taught in simplest of ways J.
I will keep posting the new teachings so keep visiting my blog regularly to be
updated.
